Country House
This listed country house had been in the same family ownership since the 1700’s and with the next generation taking occupation the opportunity was taken to undertake a comprehensive scheme of alteration, extension and restoration. A large kitchen extension was formed with exposed ‘green oak’ structure, a contemporary master bathroom extension added and internal alterations with new bathrooms, and guest suite. High levels of thermal insulation were introduced, services modernised including installation of a biomass boiler, which benefits from the Renewable Heat Incentive scheme, discretely installed home entertainment systems with home cinema, and state of the art lighting. Externally the fabric was repaired and sympathetically restored, traditional lime render reinstated, and the landscaping around the house improved.
