About Us

Since establishing this practice in 1982 I have managed to bring together a small but very talented team who have formed the backbone of our practice for almost fifteen years.

Our practice has intentionally resisted growth, by maintaining a manageable workload generally procured through recommendation. Our hallmark has been care and attention to detail in all that we achieve, which is well manageable within the scale of our operation. Our projects vary significantly in value and location from the Western Isles to the Borders.

I consider our team to be multi talented, sharing a broad range of design skills and strengths; with Grant,Sula and Katie being hugely creative in their contemporary design talent from inception to completion; Michael, a force majeure with his extraordinary management in arranging our wide range of town and country house refurbishment projects; Paul, Alan and Mark soundly expert in all aspects of technical design; Keith who represents the UK Building Conservation Forum in managing our portfolio of historic building conservation projects; all with boiler room backup through our assistants and secretarial support; and as for me, I am proud to be associated with every one of them.
